Snakes and Sneaks

The definition below is but one of many and the use varies, i.e. Politically Correct, Not Politic, and etc.

Politics
The science of government; that part of ethics which has to do with the regulation and government of a nation or state, the preservation of its safety, peace, and prosperity, the defense of its existence and rights against foreign control or conquest, the augmentation of its strength and resources, and the protection of its citizens in their rights, with the preservation and improvement of their morals. http://www.brainyquote.com/words/po/politics204495.html

If you stop to consider the word in context of every day life, it should be apparent that life is politics in the most basic form.

Everything is in the game in one way or another whether it is acquiring the necessary food, shelter, or mates, and no life form is immune. The drive is primordial, everything plays a part, whether willingly or
unwillingly, and in most cases, the latter.

The fact that some seek to be the leaders is accepted because without a leader, anarchy prevails. The problem arises in that they are seldom the best for the task simply because in order to want to lead they often have an overweening need to control others. One way to abrogate the destructive tendencies of what is basically a dictatorship is by a checks and balance system.

Our form of governance is intended to be bicameral, meaning two parts. The intention being, to induce thoughtful and honest appraisal of any legislation that is proposed, in order for it to be in the best interest of the majority of those governed.

Sadly, this has been bypassed because we now have an insidious form of near dictatorship in existence, which awaits only the proper catalyst to bring it to fruition.

The following link is a good start in understanding the concept of what is taking place in our time. http://www.ushmm.org/outreach/propag.htm

The parallels are staggering and, if the information is viewed with an open mind, irrefutable.

The Big Lie

Use of the expression by

Hitler:

The source of Big Lie technique, from Chapter 10 of Mein Kampf:

... in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.

—Adolf Hitler , Mein Kampf, vol. I, ch. X[1]

Doctor Goebbels, Hitlers propaganda minister, took this concept and perfected it as an art form saying,

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

I leave you with a final thought and, although I've printed this before, it bears repeating:

CHAINS

People seeing what they want to see,

Regardless of fact or truth,
Not caring what the damage might be.

Blindly chanting someone else’s refrain,
Never asking for the proof,
Listening to the media’s mad strains.

Honor, Duty, Country they disdain,
Better a One World order they hoot,
Knee jerk reaction that is plain.

Lie, steal, cheat with half true claims,
Anything to empower their group.
Never thinking to find themselves in chains.

In a heart beat it can change,
From freedom to slavery in a bloodless coup,
Led by the ones that pulled their strings.

Power is what’s to gain,
Never stopping to think who,
Will suffer the pain.

“It can’t happen,”they exclaim,
To blind to see the boot,
Not even aware of the game.

Democracy is work t’is plain,
Some would rather play the fool,
Whining to get their way.

Proudly they hammer their own chains.

Be well;
Zaffen
